Wealden MP Nus Ghani has written to primary schools across Wealden to congratulate them for achieving increases from last year in the proportion of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and maths at Key Stage Two.

Wealden MP Nus Ghani has welcomed the news that the Government have banned cold-calling in relation to pensions. Pensions are most people’s largest financial asset, making them an attractive target for fraudsters. The majority of pensions’ fraud has a single source: cold-calling.

NHS LONG-TERM PLAN WELCOMED IN WEALDEN

Wealden MP Nus Ghani has welcomed the launch of a long term plan for the NHS by the Prime Minister. The publication of the plan follows the announcement last year that the NHS would receive £20.5 billion extra by 2023-24.

NEW WASTE AND CLEANSING TEAM

A new waste, recycling, street and beach cleaning contract will start in Hastings, Rother and Wealden from the end of June this year. 

NEW RAILCARD FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WELCOMED

Wealden MP Nus Ghani has welcomed the introduction of a new railcard for 16 and 17 year olds. The new “16 & 17 Railcard” will give young people 50 per cent off train tickets, halving rail fares for 1.2 million young people.
