BOOST TO PPE SUPPLIES

HELP FOR GROUPS ACROSS WEALDEN

Wealden District Council has launched a Covid-19 Crisis fund to provide grants of up to £500 to the volunteer groups which have been helping residents during the current crisis.

MP WELCOMES ONGOING SUPPORT FOR THE VULNERABLE

Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, has welcomed the news that over 1.5 million food parcels have been delivered to those who are clinically extremely vulnerable, with hundreds of thousands more parcels expected to be delivered across the country in the coming weeks.

COVID TESTING

Next week, we will begin offering antibody tests to health and care staff, eligible patients and care residents in England to see if they have had coronavirus, representing further progress in our national testing programme.

COVID-19 TESTING EXPANDED

The Government has expanded testing so that anyone aged 5 and above with symptoms can now get tested for Coronavirus – as we continue to scale up our capacity.

MP CONTINUES VIRTUAL ADVICE SURGERIES 

Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, continues to host virtual advice surgeries for constituents, in place of her regular face-to-face surgeries during the Coronavirus pandemic.

BOOST FOR SCIENTISTS SEEKING VACCINE

The Business Secretary has announced an additional £84 million to support scientists working to find a coronavirus vaccine, meaning up to 30 million doses could be available in the UK by September, if trials are successful.
