The Conservative Party’s Selection Council for the new constituency of Sussex Weald met on Friday 24th February and adopted Nus Ghani as its candidate.
The new constituency has the majority of the Wealden seat within the new boundaries but gains Heathfield and loses the area around Uckfield and Forest Row.
“Congratulations to Nus”, said Daphne Bagshawe the Chairman of Wealden Conservatives. “Nus is an excellent MP for Wealden and the new constituency will be in good hands.“
At the meeting Nus spoke about the work she has been doing locally and nationally and whilst sad to be losing part of her constituency was looking forward to getting to know the Heathfield area.
The new constituencies come into operation in July this year when the new boundaries are officially announced in parliament
