A series of Political Discussion Evenings has been arranged for member, supporters and their friends. Come along and join us to debate hot topics at venues across Wealden.

Our first meeting of the year discussed the NHS and Adult Social Care, and whether we should raise taxes to pay for it.

The debate was lively and brought up many interesting points, and we were pleased to welcome a number of new faces. In general, the group was against raising taxes and felt more could be done to control costs and look for other sources of revenue; also Social Care should be paid for by central government.

Forthcoming subjects include:

  • 8 August -  Nanny State - meeting Nr Crowborough
  • 12 September - Immigration
  • 3 October - Privitisation
  • 7 November - Transport
  • 5 December - Trade
  • Early January 2019 -  Welfare

For more details, please contact the office or view the Events page nearer to the date.

Come along and have your say. Meeting outcomes are reported to Conservative policy makers at No. 10.
