Road safety improvements have come to fruition in Hailsham thanks to the efforts of local Conservatives.
County Councillor Gerard Fox worked with Hailsham town councillor Steve Keogh and the local Residents Association to have safety signs installed on Welbury Meadows and The Grange estate. Following recent discussions, these are now back in place.
"I'm also very pleased to see that red "Slow down, Blind spot" signs have been posted along the bend in Brunel Drive", says Cllr Fox. These are already reported to have had a significant positive impact reducing anti-social parking and improving visibility for drivers and pedestrians on this sharp bend."
The "Children, Slowdown" sign outside the James West centre is also a welcome addition.
Your Conservative councillors continue to work with residents exploring longer-term solutions to the Brunel Drive parking issues.
