Conservative councillor Steve Keogh visited the centre to meet up with the Site Manager, Scott Farrington, and Barney Cornford the Site Foreman, to thank them personally for the brilliant work they have been doing over the last few difficult weeks.

"The courtesy and support they have been giving to the local community of Hailsham including the elderly who struggle to load and unload during this difficult period is admirable", said Cllr Keogh.

Matthew Malins a local resident, returned stolen trollies to Tesco’s in Hailsham today. "Yet more examples of the fantastic community spirit that exists in Hailsham", added Steve.

Hailsham Town Councillor, Steve Keogh who led a residents’ clean-up in Wellbury and Grange with fellow councillors Kevin Lawrence and Neil Cleaver said: “These guys are the unsung heroes of this disruptive bin strike.”
