Councillor Nicholas Collinson has resigned from his position as Wealden District Council member for Hailsham North as he moves away from East Sussex.
Nick was elected as a district councillor in 2011 and, during his term of office, served on many committees including the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, Planning Committee South as well as Personnel Committee and Chairman of the Council Employee Consultative Group.
From 2012-2019, Nick also served as Cabinet Member for Community Leadership and Human Resources. He was also Wealden’s representative for the Hailsham and Hellingly Movement and Access Strategy Steering Group as well as South East Employers (SEE).
Wealden Conservatives thank Councillor Collinson for his contribution to the council and to the Hailsham Branch, wish him well for the future.
By-elections for vacant local seats will take place on 6 May 2021.
