Cllr Amanda O'Rawe

Town Councillor for Hailsham South

Amanda O'Rawe is a Hailsham Town Councillor representing Hailsham South Ward. On the Town Council, Amanda is a member of the following committees:

  • Communities (Chairman)
  • Planning & Development
  • Strategy & Planning (Working Group)

Amanda has lived in Hailsham for over five years, been a Town Councillor for and had the honour of being Deputy Mayor for almost a year. She says: "I love Hailsham and have seen many positive changes and would like the opportunity to continue working with the community to make this wonderful Town even better. One of my major concerns is that the Town’s infrastructure is not adequate for the growing needs of our rapidly increasing community.

"We need an efficient NHS service and we need consistent long term plans, not reliance on temporary solutions. Having been recently disabled, I am empathetic with both disabled and older residents, but my business background is working with young adults so I feel that I have a wide range of experience to help me work within the community."
