PARKING CHARGE INCREASE ON HOLD

THE introduction of increased parking charges across the county has been delayed in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Following the Government’s announcement that support will be offered to businesses affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, Wealden District Council are now able to accept applications for grant funding.

The government has reached a landmark agreement with airlines to fly back more stranded British travellers from abroad, ensuring airlines can continue to operate and bring people back home safely. 

PM WRITES TO EVERY HOME

The Prime Minister has written a letter to every UK household, urging everyone to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.

The Government will do whatever it takes to support the NHS and protect the public as we come together to tackle this national emergency.

VOLUNTEERS TO HELP SUPPORT WEALDEN COMMUNITIES

As part of the national effort to support vulnerable people in self-isolation, Wealden District Council is asking for volunteers to help as we all work to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

WEALDEN GARDEN WASTE COLLECTIONS SUSPENDED

Due to staff sickness and self-isolation due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we regret to inform you that Wealden Council and its waste contractor, Biffa, have taken the difficult decision to suspend garden waste collections.
