District Councillor for Chiddingly, East Hoathly and Waldron Ward
  • District Councillors

Geoffrey Draper was elected district ouncillor for Chiddingly, East Hoathly & Waldron Ward (including Golden Cross and Halland).

Geoffrey says, “I am first and foremost a resident of this Ward, situated almost exactly equidistant between Chiddingly, East Hoathly and Waldron.

"I have been married to Karen for 36 years and am blessed with two wonderful boys.

"I graduated with a Masters Degree in Business Studies from the Central London Business School, now part of the University of Westminster. From there, I made my way to Brighton and successfully ran my own businesses for over 40 years.

"Having recently retired, I am now in the fortunate position of having the time and energy to immerse myself in my local area and help local people."

Geoffrey Draper is standing for re-election in 4th May's district council poll. He says:

In these trying times, it is even more important for your local District Councillor to have a meaningful and effective VOICE when it comes to representing the needs and aspirations of All who live within the WARD.

Having been elected by you four-years ago, I believe I have worked tirelessly to do just that and, if re-elected by you in May, I hope to continue with that vital work.

The right person for the Job

Over the last four years I have forged strong working links with fellow District, Parish and County Councillors, District and County Council Officers and local residents and can “hit the ground running” if returned as your District representative for a further term of Office.

Please support me with your vote on 4th May and together we can work to protect our rural way of life.

If re-elected, I will ...

continue, with colleagues, to exert pressure on Central Government to achieve a more realistic figure for new housing requirements and a better, and more appropriate, mix of houses for local people.

If re-elected, I will ...

continue to be available to ALL my fellow residents to assist with their day-to-day living requirements and to offer guidance and support wherever possible. You know that I am only a phone call or email away.

If re-elected, I will ...

continue to work tirelessly to maintain the quality of our very special and precious rural environment, and to act as your voice with outside agencies and all the relevant authorities, as required, for the best of our unique villages.
